Job Description
iCanvas seeks a Merchandising Manager to be responsible for the performance of all product on our website (iCanvas.com). This position will be responsible for driving success of iCanvas product lines on our e-commerce channel by maximizing relevant exposure of product through site search & navigation, as well as across marketing channels. This role additionally oversees the web content team, responsible for the addition of all new product and product content to systems.
Responsibilities
Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to the following:
Optimize online navigation, search results, landing pages, creative displays, and product presentation based on analytics.
Assist marketing with developing merchandising experiences across marketing campaigns (paid search, email. social).
Oversee the process of introducing new products to our product catalog.
Oversee process of publishing and merchandising new products across our e-commerce channels.
Oversee the web content team assigned to creating and maintaining all product web content.
Oversee promotion and pricing of product across iCanvas.com.
Categorize products and optimize assortments to maximize conversion across category pages.
Make sure all products content is up to date and accurate across
e-commerce channels.
Weekly, monthly, & annually track and analyze product performance across channels and categories to identify areas of improvement to merchandising experiences in order to achieve channel goals.
Identify and recommend new site content and experiences to address our consumer needs.
Review competitive websites to evaluate site merchandising strategies, promotional tactics, customer experience, and product presentation to then translate findings into actionable plans to achieve our e-commerce business goals.
Work closely with cross functional teams such as web design, sales, production, and marketing to define, design and execute merchandising plans.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2-3 years of e-commerce experience in merchandising or product management.
Experience with best-in-class e-commerce and web content management platforms.
Strong understanding of e-commerce strategies and best practices.
Ability to compile and analyze performance data and metrics and make decisions regarding campaign direction based on the analysis.
Results-oriented, collaborative work style.
Strong attention to detail, especially related to managing feeds to specification.
Experience in retail categories of home d cor, wall art, or home furnishing is a major plus.
Background in art/passion for art a plus.
Technical Skills
Advanced skills in Excel analyzing performance data and reporting that back to management team (pivot tables, vlookups, etc)
Strong understanding of Google Analytics
Intermediate understanding of HTML & CSS
Intermediate understanding of product feeds
Basic understanding of databases (Access/SQL) preferred
Basic understanding of SEO
Experience with Yahoo Store, MyBuys or SLI Site Search a plus
Education
B.A./B.S degree in Business or Marketing preferred
